Old North London Mudroom Project – Regent Street

Located in the heart of Old North London on Regent Street, this custom mudroom was designed to bring together timeless style, practical storage, and seamless integration with the rest of the home. Every detail was thoughtfully tailored to complement the character of the space while adding functionality for everyday living.

The cabinetry features a custom painted finish with a subtle glaze technique, adding depth, texture, and a refined furniture-style appearance. The soft finish enhances the architectural feel of the room while giving the mudroom a warm, elevated look that feels built into the home rather than added afterward.
To tie the space together, the stained bench top was custom finished to match the existing cabinetry within the home, creating a cohesive flow between rooms. The rich wood tone adds warmth and contrast against the lighter cabinetry and provides a durable seating area for daily use.

Below the bench, we incorporated fully custom shoe storage drawers featuring metal mesh fronts. These ventilated drawer fronts allow airflow for shoes and seasonal gear while maintaining a clean, organized appearance. The combination of function and craftsmanship makes the storage both practical and visually unique.

One of the standout features of this project is the full-size custom sliding door designed to completely close off the mudroom from the rest of the house when needed. Built to match the surrounding cabinetry and millwork, the sliding door blends seamlessly into the design while providing flexibility and privacy within the space.

From the custom finishes to the thoughtful storage solutions, this Regent Street mudroom showcases how bespoke cabinetry can transform an everyday area into a beautifully integrated part of the home.
